Queen’s Park
A large project that presented many challenges to James between 2014-2015. The result is a smart and contemporary garden that compliments the period house and showcases interesting features whilst maintaining a strong and simple design. The main limestone terrace leads down generous steps entering into a large lawn framed by cedec gravel and steel edging. Ornaments and sculptures are playfully dotted around the garden leading the eye around whilst a feature raised decked platform, broken up with pockets of scented herbs, forms the main al-fresco lounge/ entertaining area. A multi-stemmed Parrotia persica becomes the feature tree set against a backdrop of hydrangeas, ferns and liriopes.
